NetPayDesk is a US paycheck and work-time calculator site built and run by Md Tariqul Islam. I planned it, built it and run it on my own. Live at netpaydesk.com since October 2026.
Live since October 2026 · Solo project · Node.js build, plain JavaScript, Cloudflare Pages
The problem
People search for what their pay will be after tax, and the answer depends on their state, filing status and pay type. I wanted to test whether a new domain could compete by being very fast and showing how each answer is reached.
My role
Everything: picking the niche from keyword data, planning the pages, building the site, publishing, and reading the results.
The result
The site is live and growing, and it is still early. By the end of October 2026, its first month, it had about 1,600 search impressions in Google, with a few state terms close to page one of Google. Clicks are still very low, so the current focus is links and the pages closest to page one.
60 pages live
All 50 US states
Main content in under 0.5 seconds
Figures as of November 2026. The site has 60 pages covering all 50 US states. Speed is the largest paint in Chrome on state pages, measured from Spain: about 0.4 seconds.
What I built
One calculation engine that holds the tax rules for all 50 states, with automated tests behind it
A build step that generates every page with real numbers already in the HTML, so search engines and AI crawlers can read them. It's the same approach I describe for getting cited by AI engines
Calculators for paychecks, hourly pay, overtime, salary to hourly, and time cards
State pages with their rates, sources and any limits noted on the page
Hosting on Cloudflare Pages, with instant indexing pings for Bing, and a consent banner that keeps analytics off until a visitor accepts
Using the data
Early Search Console data showed that about half of the first searches, 10 of 19 queries in mid-October, were about hourly pay, and that people wanted overtime figures after tax. I built a dedicated hourly calculator and added after-tax results to the overtime tool, instead of guessing what to make next.
Proof
See it live.
